Sony announced a new 6-series mirrorless camera kit at its launch event for its flagship flagship mirrorless camera, the XQ5F on 18 February. It's packed with great features that will likely please photographers who want all the bells and whistles but also can be a bit of a pain in the lol behind the neck. The XQ5F comes with three lenses with 16-55mm lenses, a viewfinder, polariser tip, lanyard and extra lanyard. It'll set you back around $1,400 in the US. The Sony XQ5 is also impressively well-packed for a a mirrorless camera that doesn't come close to the capabilities of Canon's D3, Nikon's D800S, Fujifilm's X-T1 or Sony's X100E. It's not as at home in a 35mm lens on a DSLR, but the caveats apply. The real star of the show, though, is the viewfinder. It's a stunningly large, brightly-lit device that shows Sony's engineering chops up a few notches. If you've ever wanted to record a story, experiment with new fx in patterns or make drawings in your bedroom, this is the kit for you.
