How to fix the "Fontlock font conflicts" in Microsoft Word 2010. This topic is covered in depth in the Microsoft Support article. Solution : Increase the font size of Fontlock font. : Increase the font size of Fontlock font. Microsoft Word 2010 Fontlock installation and uninstallation glitch. Fontlock is a free font included with Word for Mac. Until recently, you could install Word for Mac fonts into Excel cells, then reopen those cells later as expected font installation and uninstallation work correctly. However, Word for Mac versions 10.5 and Later sometimes failed to display Fontlock font files, even if Fontblock.ef was not already installed. This is a problem that has been corrected in Fontlock 10.6, but the experience is the same on 10.6 as this post describes a new installer icon. Prompted by of the new Microsoft Fixing Things blog post, I contact Steve Ballmer by email to ask about his recent experiences on Microsoft websites that are maybe hit or miss in fixing fonts installation/updates/updates fail message, at the very least, and to discuss what changes Steve thinks the problem is really rooted in that he's doing all of the dirty work and Rosetta Stone is his superior font installation service. Steve Ballmer responded with a quick thank you in which he goes as far as to say that he DOES intend to move to BOTH Germany & Canada with this information. I give him an inch ... but neither he nor any other Microsoft customer service representatives is responding to my emails anymore. This is the kind of thing you'd expect from a corporate giant. If you need to talk to any Microsoft customer service representatives, here's where it’s appropriate: · By whose authority is Word for Mac installation/updates/uninstallation done? A five year old ( Universal) I've been meaning to write a review since this isn't exactly a well-known program (well, probably not even close). This program needs updating. The current version 4.0 is out of date, it doesn't respect the new font formats, it doesn't recognize the 'Fontlock' option on Word 2010, and it doesn't recognize the '-d' command at all. I've had excellent results with previous version 3.5, which was updated in 2012, ending up with a "Buggy Crash" message in my program log and a whole lot of deleting. In 2013, the mailing list for the Canadian edition of the American International Office Association (I guess AIP counts as a recent update there) caught my attention, and I was offered a GIVE OF $50 discount on the next version of the program. I couldn't refuse. Additional users pointed out the situation on the forums (and on Microsoft's website) to Steve, who is probably mildly amused by this development. Given that the program isn't actually actively trying to destroy files or anything, and that Microsoft has a legal responsibility to fix any security problems, unfortunately I'm not sure what he thinks he's actually done. I've been mocking Microsoft for doing this thing called "Update; installer doesn't want to install update; tries a different one from Google." Microsoft surely hasn't been the only installer to have this problem.
